However, the decision to make the holiday official was hotly debated. Many men were concerned if they received gifts or even (gasp) flowers on Father’s Day, they risked appearing unmanly. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and today, we get to celebrate Dad each year on the 3rd Saturday of June.
